Scene Preservation Project
The Scene Preservation Project is a collaborative work-in-progress effort to preserve lost emo/scene music. Uploads to the YouTube channel will consist primarily of music from the era that is not available online (either in full or at all) taken from physical media in the highest available qualities (usually CDs).
The purpose of this project is to preserve music history, allowing all generations to get a glimpse into a time capsule of a beautifully powerful subculture that influenced millions of people around the world. While many projects have made their way online eventually, quite a few never made it past their original CD presses or were lost to time in the great Myspace purge.
With the onset of data rot affecting discs around 20 years old, it's more critical than ever that we all work together to make sure as much of this amazing music is preserved. I owe my life to emo and scene music, thank you for checking out the Scene Preservation Project.
